Moving to Higher Ground 2017 is a unique mentorship learning experience for paediatric therapists, combining professional development with personal growth. Individualized learning programs are planned prior to the workshop through discussion between therapist, participants and coordinator Kim Barthel.
Therapists will be paired with children in a hands-on experience who match the areas in which the therapists wish to gain expertise and confidence. In addition to hands on practice, therapists will be supported by demonstrations, lectures and group discussions. Kim will be assisted by master therapists, Yvette Jollet RPT and Kirstie Glasgow OTR. Skills and latest re-search presented in:
- Sensory Integration
- Neuro-Developmental Treatment
- Myofacial Release
- Cranio-Sacral Therapy
- Attachment Intervention
This 5 day program is within the context of a therapeutic day camp for children. Therapists also attend evening sessions.
The early bird cost of the course is $2,500 for all five days of mentorship training. Register prior to April 15, 2017 to receive this rate. After April 15, 2017 the general registration cost is $3,000 pp.
Temporary License with COTBC www.cotbc.org) or CPTBC for out of province participants is required by August 1, 2017.
