February 23, 2018 – Classroom Strategies for Students with Complex Behaviours

Classroom BehaviourSALMON ARM, BC

In supporting children in the classroom, we need to know what’s going on for them at a sensory level, a cognitive level, and an emotional level. Understanding the brain and how we really are all wired differently provides a refreshing and compassionate perspective when approaching behavioural challenges.

This introductory course is designed to assist teachers and professionals involved in the educational field:

• to learn how to support children with behavioural challenges and learning problems

• to understand how behaviour is the manner of coping with the environment

• to provide participants with strategies to manage behavioural issues

This workshop is designed to assist in problem solving behaviours and learning based on observations that look beyond the label.
