As part of Community Living BC’s commitment to better serving people with Multiple and Complex Needs, it is sponsoring 8 workshop opportunities led by Kim Barthel across BC for CLBC staff and partners that build on learning from last year’s, ‘Introductory Trauma Informed Practice workshops’.
TIP 2: Practical Applications workshops dive deeper into supporting those who have experienced trauma to:
- help us learn necessary skills that can rewire trauma responses and change dis-regulated coping patterns,
- provide practical trauma intervention strategies that will help support the development of self-regulation, and
- explore and build on competency in trauma informed solutions.
A brief video introduction to TIP 2 from Kim Barthel can be found below. Those who missed out on last year’s introductory workshops are encouraged to attend and benefit from TIP 2 learning.
CLBC staff and partners will receive registration information through CLBC. If you are interested in attending and have not received registration information, please contact Lisa Makortoff, Community Living BC at Lisa.Makortoff@gov.bc.ca for more information.
